Born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, this firecracker of a performer began her entertainment career with training in dance (modern jazz, hip hop, ballet) and acting at an early age. Kalia's role in the Trinity Repertory production of Guys and Dolls ignited her passion for acting along with her mother's constant creative nurturing. After landing roles in a variety of theatre projects, she honed her business chops by getting a Communications and Marketing degree from Boston College. Upon completing her and her parent's educational requirements, Kalia headed to Los Angeles in pursuit of television and "The Big Screen". Thus far, she's appeared in numerous projects including several short films where she played lead roles: Urban Genesis, A Day Between Gemini and Leo and Zynthia. She has appeared in commercials for 1-800-Dentist and Volkswagon, and positioned herself as a recurring character on the weekly syndicated Radio Soap Opera. The young starlet was featured in Backstage West Column Who Got The Part and most recently transforms and ignites an intimate audience in the cabaret show Harlem's Night. Being the only girl of five children, Miss Kalia knows what it means to fight for the spotlight and shine once she's got it!
She feels incredibly blessed with all that she has accomplished to date and looks forward to her journey in achieving her ultimate life purpose!
